UK Energy Secretary Ed Miliband has approved planning consent for RWE's 1.2GW Rampion 2 wind farm off the south coast of England. This 90-turbine extension to the 400MW Rampion project will connect to the National Grid in Sussex. Construction is expected to begin in 2027-28, with commercial operations starting by 2030.
