Scottish ministers have approved offshore consent for the 2GW West of Orkney wind farm, making it the first ScotWind project with both offshore and onshore permissions. Developed by TotalEnergies, Corio, and RIDG, the 125-turbine array lies 30km west of Orkney. Project director Stuart Macauley highlighted its potential to power two million homes and boost investment in infrastructure and jobs.
