Saras and Verbund have signed an agreement under Italy’s Energy Release program to supply about 1.2 TWh of electricity over three years to the Sarroch refinery in Sardinia. The energy will later be returned to Gestore dei Servizi Energetici (GSE) through the development of around 81 MW of new photovoltaic capacity by Verbund Green Power Italia.
