In Salem, the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) officially opened a domestic PNG project. 3.35 lakh homes will receive PNG from, which has set out 1,300 crores for the purpose. Pipelines from the IOC's PNG plant, which is located on the grounds of the Salem Steel Plant, will provide PNG to specific residences.
