RWE has taken final investment decision to build 400 MW / 1,100 MWh battery at Moerdijk power station in Netherlands, one of country's largest. Project comprises 208 lithium-ion containers delivering full output for almost three hours, covering evening peak of 500,000 households. Construction starts soon, commissioning Q2 2028.
