RWE Clean Energy has submitted a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) application in Colorado to construct a 200MW standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) using Tesla's 2XL Megapacks. The project, known as South Park BESS, was submitted in August 2024, and will be reviewed at a planning commission meeting on 23 October 2024 under Park County's Land Use Regulations.
