RWE Installs First Foundation for 1600 MW Nordseecluster Offshore Wind Project in Germany

RWE has installed the first foundation for its 1600MW Nordseecluster offshore wind project, located 50km north of Germany’s Juist island. The project, developed with Norges Bank Investment Management, is Germany’s largest offshore wind initiative. Monopiles, each 85 meters long and weighing 1500 tonnes, are transported by Van Oord’s vessel Boreas.
