Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Ltd (RVUNL) plans to commission 1,000 MWh of battery energy storage by September, as part of a larger 6,000 MWh rollout to strengthen grid stability and integrate renewable energy. The storage systems will absorb surplus solar power and supply electricity during peak demand, reducing curtailment and improving efficiency.
