As part of the INR 16,000 crore capex for the EVs, Mahindra and Mahindra has committed to invest Rs 4,500 crore for the two new ground up electric brands i.e. BE 6e and XEV 9e for the overall developments of the electric vehicles at its Chakan unit, increasing the production capacity up to 1.2 lakh units per annum.
