The Romanian Railway Reform Authority (ARF) has announced a tender for 12 hydrogen trains, with a procurement budget of €330–€520 million. This project is part of Romania’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). It aims to replace diesel trains, reduce carbon emissions, and foster eco-friendly transportation.
