The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) reported that Renewable Energy tariffs in India have decreased by up to 50% since 2013-14. Tariffs for FY 2023-24 ranged from ₹2.52 to ₹5.60 per unit, down from ₹5.50 to ₹9.50 in FY 2013-14. The MNRE also highlighted 16 reverse auctions in FY 2023-24 and 24 in FY 2024-25, showcasing significant tariff reductions, with some projects priced as low as ₹2.
