The Odisha government has proposed setting up 190 EV charging stations across six cities under the PM E-Drive scheme to boost electric mobility. The plan, submitted to the Ministry of Heavy Industries, aims to strengthen charging infrastructure and reduce range anxiety. Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited will act as the implementation agency, with feasibility studies planned before approvals, supporting India’s broader EV adoption and infrastructure expansion efforts.
