Researchers from Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin and Humboldt University achieved a 24.6% efficiency with a Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS)v-Perovskite Tandem Solar Cell, setting a world record. Certified by the Fraunhofer Institute, this new result surpasses their previous record of 24.16%. The improvement came from enhancing contact layers between the cells.
