The Rajasthan government has started transferring an additional ₹17,000 state subsidy to electricity consumers installing rooftop solar systems, complementing the central PM Surya Ghar Yojana subsidy of ₹78,000. This enables beneficiaries to receive up to ₹95,000 in combined support, along with 150 free electricity units per month under the state scheme.
