Hyundai Motor Co., Kia Corp., and Genesis, part of the Hyundai Group, have joined with LG Energy to invest $4.3b in a battery plant located in Bryan, Georgia. This facility will have an annual capacity of 30 GWh and will be able to power up to 300,000 electric vehicles (EVs). Construction of the plant is set to commence after June 2023, with operations being expected from Dec-2025 onwards.
