QatarEnergy has partnered with Samsung C&T to develop a major solar power plant in Dukhan, 80 km west of Doha. Expected to be one of the largest globally, the plant will reach 2,000 MW capacity by mid-2029 in two phases. It will double Qatar’s solar capacity, supporting the country’s renewable goals and reducing CO₂ emissions by 4.
