Launched in Feb. 2024, India's Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana (PMSGY) aims to add 30 GW of Rooftop Solar capacity across 10 million households by 2027. With over 13 million registrations & 1.8 million applications, it has seen 385,000 installations, contributing 1.8 GW. Despite progress, challenges include state policy inconsistencies & technical issues with the National Portal for Rooftop Solar.
