The Ministry of Heavy Industries is reviewing the ₹18,100 crore PLI scheme for Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) batteries due to delays and no incentive disbursals since 2021. The scheme aims for 50 GWh battery capacity by 2029 but has commitments for only 40 GWh, with no production started by beneficiaries Ola Electric, Reliance Industries, and Rajesh Exports.
