Origin Energy seeks federal EPBC approval for a 500 MW / 4,942 MWh eight-hour battery to expand its Eraring battery precinct on NSW Central Coast. The Eraring BESS North project would join existing stages: 460 MW / 1,770 MWh Phase 1 connected early 2026, and 240 MW / 1,390 MWh Phase 2 due early 2027, totaling ∼3,658 MWh.
