Austrian province Styria's state government has adopted an amendment to its wind energy sectoral programme, creating framework for up to 700 MW additional wind capacity. The amendment designates 16 new priority and suitable zones covering 4,000 hectares (0.24% of state area), with potential for 450-700 MW.
