Olectra Starts Operations with 2,500 Buses Capacity at Hyderabad EV Facility

Olectra has commissioned Phase I of its greenfield EV manufacturing facility at Seetharampur, Hyderabad, with a per-shift annual capacity of 2,500 electric buses, effective December 31, 2025. This represents 50% of the planned 5,000-bus capacity. The development follows Olectra securing 1,785 buses under the PM E-DRIVE scheme and comes after a penalty imposed by TGIIC for construction delays at the facility in Telangana.
