Odisha has waived permit fees for battery-operated electric vehicles and methanol- and ethanol-powered transport vehicles to promote cleaner mobility. Eligible vehicles can obtain permits from transport authorities without paying permit fees, although goods vehicles with a GVW below 3,000 kg are excluded.
