Octopus Australia plans to develop the 1.2GW/4.8GWh Hanworth Battery Energy Storage System near Bannaby, New South Wales, claiming it will be Australia’s largest planned battery. Connecting to Transgrid’s Bannaby Terminal Station and the National Electricity Market, it will power over 500,000 homes during peak demand.
