Hong Kong–based startup Xilia Group has launched glass fiber–reinforced polymer (GFRP) solar module frames that are lighter and cheaper than conventional aluminum designs. The TÜV-certified frames reportedly reduce weight by around 25% and upfront costs by up to 30%, while offering improved corrosion resistance and electrical insulation.
