NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN), wholly-owned NTPC subsidiary, plans to soon commission 500 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for commercial operations, CEO Somes Bandyopadhyay said at 18th India Coal Summit organized by Indian Chamber of Commerce. It targets another 500 MWh by end FY27 under government-backed 3000 MWh scheme.
