NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has issued an EPC tender to develop a 250 MW/1,000 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at its Bikaner Solar Plant in Rajasthan. The project will provide single-cycle energy with a four-hour discharge and a 25-year design life. Bids are invited from February 12 to 23, 2026, with requirements on dispatchable capacity guarantees, long-term O&M, and prior grid-scale BESS experience to support large-scale solar integration and grid reliability in the region of Rajasthan.
