NTPC has invited Expressions of Interest (EOI) from technology providers, developers, and integrators for pilot or utility-scale compressed-air long-duration energy storage (LDES), including liquid air-based systems with eight or more hours of storage. The initiative aims to evaluate technology readiness, performance, operational characteristics, and techno-commercial viability under Indian grid conditions.
