Metsähallitus has transferred rights for three wind projects in Simo, Kajaani, and Pyhäntä to Nordic Generation, adding 800 MW of renewable energy to Finland’s grid. Once operational, the farms will power over 100,000 households, supporting Finland’s 2035 carbon neutrality goal. Metsähallitus will continue project development until permits take effect, while Nordic Generation, backed by Octopus Energy funds, aims to expand clean energy production.
