Morocco has officially launched its Solar Rooftop 500 (SR500) program, aiming to deploy 500 MW of rooftop solar across industrial and commercial facilities. The initiative marks the country’s first concrete implementation of Article 6.2 of the Paris Agreement, in partnership with Switzerland. SR500 enables carbon credit transfers while ensuring transparency and avoiding double counting.
