NLC India Builds 3,300 MWh Storage Portfolio With BESS and Pumped Hydro

NLC India, transitioning from thermal to green, is building an integrated storage portfolio of BESS and Pumped Hydro Storage (PSP). Per its FY25-26 report, its subsidiary NIRL has a contracted pipeline of 3,300 MWh including: 250 MW/500 MWh Tamil Nadu project - its first large BESS under VGF with BESPA signed and KfW funding, EPC by Pace Digitek; 600 MW solar + 300 MW/1,800 MWh BESS from SECI; 500 MWh from PSPCL; plus 50 MW/200 MWh from WBSEDCL and 275 MW from GUVNL.
