NTPC Ltd’s Board has approved an investment proposal of ₹20,456.70 crore for the development of Lara Super Thermal Power Project Stage-III (2×800 MW) in Chhattisgarh. The expansion will add 1,600 MW of new thermal capacity to the project. The approval supports NTPC’s strategy to strengthen its power generation portfolio and meet rising electricity demand.
