NHPC has commenced commercial operations of the fourth unit of its 2,000 MW Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project, marking a key milestone. Located near North Lakhimpur on the Arunachal Pradesh–Assam border, the ₹27,000 crore project comprises eight units of 250 MW each. With four units now operational, NHPC is advancing towards full completion, reinforcing India’s largest hydroelectric development and boosting clean power generation capacity.
