MSEDCL clarified that the Grid Support Charge (GSC), implemented after Maharashtra crossed 5,000 MW rooftop solar capacity, applies only to high-load users above 10 kW. Out of 3.17 crore total consumers, only 44,246 (0.14%) are affected. Among 2.37 crore domestic users, just 16,410 (2.49% of solar users) are liable, while industrial and commercial shares are 8,894 and 12,832 respectively.
