The Uttar Pradesh Electricity Regulatory Commission approved UPPCL’s plan to procure 375 MW/1,500 MWh of standalone battery energy storage with viability gap funding for 15 years. The goal is to support renewable energy integration and meet peak demand. SJVN acts as the implementing agency, with Patel Infrastructure and Enerica Infra 3 selected as bidders.
