The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has mandated that all inverters under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana be connected to national servers managed by MNRE or its designated agencies. Inverter devices must use Machine-to-Machine (M2M) SIM protocols for secure data transmission. This move addresses cybersecurity and grid stability concerns related to integrating one crore rooftop solar systems (30 GW).
