The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued new GHG emission guidelines for water sourcing and treatment in green hydrogen production under the Green Hydrogen Certification Scheme of India (GHCI). Aligned with ISO 19870:2023, the framework standardizes carbon intensity calculations and defines five water-use scenarios.
