The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has clarified that glass evacuated solar collector tubes are excluded from the Solar Thermal Systems, Devices and Components (Quality Control) Order (QCO), 2024. The QCO applies only to solar flat plate collectors, all-glass evacuated tube solar water heating systems, and storage water tanks for such systems.
