The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) approved a tariff of ₹2.59/kWh and ₹2.60/kWh for NTPC’s 1,500 MW ISTS-connected Solar PV projects. NTPC conducted a transparent bidding process in 2023, receiving seven bids totaling 3,200 MW. Three bidders secured 1,500 MW post-auction. CERC also approved a ₹0.
