The Mitsubishi Chemical Group will be expanding its production capacity for anode materials used in LIB, primarily for EVs at its Kagwa Plant, Japan which is planned to become operational in October 2026. The expanded production capacity will be of 11,000 tons annually. This move will reinforce its position in sustainable materials development, addressing critical challenges in battery tech.
