The government has issued guidelines for setting up EV public charging stations under the ₹10,900 crore PM E-DRIVE scheme, with ₹2,000 crore allocated for infrastructure. Chargers will be installed at high-traffic locations like offices, hospitals, airports, malls, highways, and fuel stations.
