IIT Bombay Develops Low-Cost Catalyst to Boost Green Hydrogen Production

IIT Bombay researchers have developed a low-cost, durable catalyst that could make green hydrogen production more affordable. Made from earth-abundant cobalt, nickel, phosphate and graphite, the catalyst efficiently accelerates both hydrogen and oxygen generation during water electrolysis, eliminating reliance on costly noble metals such as platinum, ruthenium and iridium.
