Meta Platforms has signed a major agreement with Noon Energy to secure up to 1 GW / 100 GWh of ultra-long-duration energy storage, aimed at powering AI-driven data centers. The deal includes a 25 MW / 2.5 GWh pilot project expected by 2028, followed by large-scale deployment. Noon’s technology offers over 100-hour storage using carbon-based systems, reducing reliance on scarce materials.
