Meridian Energy and Nova Energy have formed a 50-50 Joint Venture to develop New Zealand's 400MW Te Rahui Solar PV Plant, requiring NZ$660 million investment. Located in Rangitāiki, Taupō, it will be developed in two 200MW stages. Resource consent was obtained in April 2024, with a Financial Investment Decision planned for Q1 2025.
