The Maharashtra Electricity Regulatory Commission (MERC) has approved and adopted the tariff of ₹5.90/kWh discovered by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) through a competitive bidding process for procuring 2,500 MW of Round-the-Clock (RTC) power from renewable energy projects integrated with storage and other sources.
