Meranti Green Steel plans to make a Final Investment Decision by mid-2026 for its 2.5 mtpa green Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) plant in Duqm, Oman, with commissioning set for mid-2029. The project will initially use a mix of natural gas and green hydrogen, targeting 85% hydrogen use to cut CO₂ emissions.
