McPhy will supply 80MW of electrolysers to the HyLion project in Lockerbie, Scotland for green hydrogen production, which aims to produce 45,000 tonnes of e-methanol annually from 2028. The project will use biogenic CO2 from whisky production and a biomass power plant. German e-fuels producer P1 Fuels and Norwegian offshore wind installer Cadeler will be the offtakers, using the methanol as a synthetic fuel for road transport and shipping fuel respectively.
