Enercon and Landsvirkjun have signed a contract for Iceland's first Large-Scale Wind farm in Búrfell, south Iceland. The project will feature 28 E-138 EP3 turbines with a 120 MW capacity. Construction begins in 2026, with Enercon delivering and building the turbines. This marks a significant step in Iceland's Wind Energy development alongside Geothermal and Hydropower.
