Maharashtra’s rooftop solar capacity has exceeded 2,000 MW, with MMR contributing 150 MW. Over 1.4 lakh applications, including 1 lakh residential, have been received. The PM Surya Ghar scheme, offering up to 60% subsidies, has helped 2,448 households get free electricity. MSEDCL’s free solar net meters also encourage adoption.
