The Ludhiana Municipal Corporation (MCL) (Punjab, India) has issued a tender for 50 EV charging stations under a 10-year public-private partnership, targeting a rise in electric mobility as EVs now represent about 6 % of city registrations. The project, reserved for central and state PSUs, will deploy AC/DC chargers, modular battery-swap points, digital booking, QR/RFID access and integrated payment systems, with MCL earning per-kWh revenue and land support.
