Vietnamese automaker Kim Long Motors signed an agreement with LG Energy Solution for a steady supply of cylindrical NMC battery cells for EVs. These cells will be assembled at a new, automated plant in Hue starting early 2026, with an initial 1 GWh capacity. Battery assembly supports their goal to localize over 80% of production by mid-2026.
